Ogden-HINCKLEY Airport Terminal Expansion

November, 2025

Municipal

22,747 sq ft

As passenger traffic at Ogden Regional Airport increased, Ogden City expanded the Hinckley Terminal to better serve its growing community. Completed in November 2025 for Ogden City Corporation, the 22,747-square-foot addition was designed by Sanders Associates Architects and constructed from January through November 2025.

The expansion blends performance, durability, and regional identity through an open-plan design that improves passenger flow and wayfinding while creating a welcoming, efficient environment. Architectural details honor Ogden’s aviation history, preserving original signage and notable features from the 1995 filming of Halloween 6.

The project included specialized airport systems such as TSA screening infrastructure, baggage handling, and upgraded mechanical and electrical systems. Sustainable materials and energy-efficient features—including high-performance glazing, daylighting, and efficient lighting and HVAC systems—support long-term value and reduced environmental impact.

The Ogden-Hinckley Airport expansion received ABC’s 2025 Excellence in Construction Award for tenant improvements over $1 million.
