144 South Apartments Groundbreaking
With construction costs and interest rates going up, it’s a relief to many that government funded apartment communities are also on the rise. KIER Construction joined City officials and dignitaries at the recent groundbreaking for the new 144 South Apartments located on 5th East in Salt Lake City. This project will add 110-units that will fill a sliver of the housing needs pie in the downtown area.

After thirty-six years of leading KIER Construction, Steve and Scott Kier are retiring effective June 30, 2022. Steve and Scott founded KIER Construction in 1986 and have both been pivotal in the development and success of the organization. The Granary Campus is a creative new project focused on building community through a shared enthusiasm for outdoor recreation. The construction involves a significant transformation of the historic Salt Lake Rapid Transit Building into Campus SLC, an historic masonry and timber warehouse building that supports an evo retail store, evo Hotel, All Together Skatepark, Salt Lake Bouldering Project, Level Nine Sports, an art gallery, and several other undisclosed retailers.
