Proud Supporter of Weber School Foundation

Imagine Ogden and the surrounding communities without the many ways the Weber School Foundation (WSF) provides support to those facing difficult circumstances. The word gloomy comes to mind. This organization reminds us to notice the needs of those less fortunate, and to engage in activities that will help.

For many years KIER has participated in WFS’s Christmas Tree Jubilee, an annual event that raises funds used to enhance the lives of Weber County’s special needs children. KIER is a major sponsor, as well as donor of trees and delivery men with trucks. KIER leaders have served as MC’s for the event, as well as board members for WSF.

WSF’s Gifts From the Heart Annual Golf Classic is another event that KIER looks forward to every year. As a major sponsor KIER is proud to support this event that funds:

  • Classroom and School Grants
  • Hope Squads and Wellness Spaces
  • Food Pantries and Teen Centers
  • Field Trips
  • Adaptive Equipment for Students with Special Needs
  • And more…

KIER has completed two Teen Centers for the Weber School District. One at Bonneville High School and the other at Fremont High School. Teen Centers are areas inside the schools that have been designed and renovated as safe spaces for teens who are experiencing challenges, such as homelessness and food insecurities. The renovated space offers students rooms, bathrooms, showers, food pantry, and common areas. The individuals are offered a welcoming environment and essential resources.

This is another testimony to WSF’s commitment to their students, and KIER’s mission to “Enhance communities and improve the quality of life, one project at a time.”
