Project Overview
The James E. Kier Apartments consist of 51 independent living units. The building is a three-story, wood frame structure set upon a 15,000 sq. ft. underground parking level. Amenities include a large multi-purpose room with a 100 person capacity, exercise room, computer room, library and TV lounge.
Our client, Utah Nonprofit Housing Corporation, approached Kier midway through construction requesting permission to name this beautiful facility after our founder, James E. Kier. A well-attended dedication took place on November 17, 2005.
Funding for the project came from a wide array of sources including: Salt Lake City, Olene Walker Housing Loan Fund, Utah Housing Corporation, tax credits, and the Richman Group.
