Project Overview
On July 1, 2022, KIER Construction began work to unify and modernize two public housing apartment buildings just east of the Salt Lake County Government Building. The two fifty year old facilities, County High Rise and New City Plaza, will become one, 299-unit affordable community for seniors. The units will be dispersed between the 7-story, 150-unit tower, and the 16-story, 149-unit tower. This exciting new environment will keep the name, New City Plaza. KIER will also add a 3,176 sq ft addition connecting the two towers.
