Project Overview
What do you do when you have two multi level parking structures next to a TRAX station and not much else? Why you erect two contemporary multi-family buildings to wrap around the structures and bring more life to the area. And that is just what Boulder Ventures, KIER Construction and Ark Architects did. Introducing Novi at Jordan Valley Station f.k.a. Jordan Valley TOD.
These two buildings house a total of 270 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom units. The buildings were designed using massing, exterior material transitions and color blocking to reduce the visual scale of the structures. The exterior materials were chosen to be harmonious with the surrounding built environment. Utilizing the two wrapped parking structures resulted in the preservation of several view corridors and vistas while reducing the visual impact of the garages. The site is pedestrian friendly and accessible – it encourages pedestrian connectivity and circulation.
