Project Overview
This unique facility not only meets social and nutritional needs of the community’s seniors, but also functions as a recreation center and fire station for the area. The Senior Center already in operation was a combination of the original structure built in the 1940’s and a separate building constructed in 2003. Work performed in the challenging six month schedule included an addition to the newer building, which translated into more square footage for the senior/community facility, as well as quarters and office space for the fire department. The original building was demolished and replaced with a pre-engineered apparatus bay where fire trucks and equipment are stored. Improvements to the more recent facility, including a finished lower level, completed the project scope of work.
