Kent K. Madsen

Director of Construction Commercial Division

Kent joined the Kier team as the Director of Construction of the Commercial Construction Division.   As a Director, Kent plans, organizes and oversees the day-to-day activities of the commercial construction project management personnel to achieve Kier’s overall corporate objectives.  He loves participating in successful construction ventures, developing great relationships, mentoring personnel, providing leadership, and achieving goals.  Completely satisfied clients and high-quality projects are his ultimate goals.

In his 11 years prior to joining Kier, Kent learned and succeeded as a project engineer, was quickly promoted to an assistant project manager and then became a project manager.  He also transitioned to a lead estimator and worked his way up to a senior estimator.  His most memorable projects are the Oquirrh Mountain LDS Temple, numerous LDS chapels nation-wide, NuSkin Level 9 TI, BYU Chiller Plant, the US Attorney Generals Office, Durham Pinegar Jones Law Office TI, the new Utah State Correctional Facility, the Museum of Natural Curiosity and the Butterfly Biosphere.

Kent was born and raised in Littleton, CO and graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Construction Management and a minor in Business Management.  While attending BYU, Kent enlisted in the Utah Army National Guard and served his country for 8 years.  He lives in South Jordan with his family and enjoys all things outdoors including mountain biking, canyoneering, soccer, volleyball, golf, fishing and snowshoeing.
